My Studio is Analog except for the actual Recorder which is a Fostex stand alone Digital hard drive.I still have an old Fostex 8 track tape recorder if anyone wants to use it.I always liked the sound, my CD was recorded on it but the digital is so much easier and faster.
The mixer is a Customized Soundtracks T Series.It has 28 inputs 4 subs, 2 outs.It sounds fabulous the faders were all replaced with Elf Faders the type used on a Neve and it started life as a 16 track but three 4 input track modules have been added.
The channel EQ section has a high-shelving band at 16 kHz,switchable to 8k, low-shelving at 60 Hz,switchable to 120Hz and swept-mid EQs. MF EQ is sweepable from 250 to 5k Hz, all EQ has a +/-15dB range and a center detent. EQ bypass switches are provided.
I master to a puter with Soundforge and can create your entire package here if you so wish.
The space is very small but we have a Vocal Booth and a Drum room, a Hammond and Leslie and a Wurlitzer Upright Accoustic Piano,of course Roland Keys and an Accordian,( my Accordian playing is basic but usually accomodating for background) a Midi drum set up with either a Roland pad 8 or a kik, hat and Midi Snare.I prefer using a live hat and Snare but, whatever.This studio is ideal for Singer/Songwriters to build tracks or small groups, at very affordable rates.
